During and after the cruise, I received many letters from people. I tried to write back to everyone and thank them for the kind word. Tom wrote to me, nicely, distinguished by the ease of a pen and at the end he mentioned something about a motorcycle. I don’t remember the details anymore, but it turned out that he would let me ride his bike. So it happened. Fortunately, he was an athletic young man and he ran after me up and down my trial, so I could remind myslef how the gears get changed. There was also my first fall, repair of his moto, but we are still friends 😊Tomek – thank you!
Then there was Grzesiek, a mechanic from Warsaw. I don’t even recall how I met him, but it turned out that a few times a week he would go moto cross training with his friend. Somehow he let me be coming with, so in the mornings we would go to the gym, and then at the training ground where I waited bravely for the guys to get tired – because when they got tired, they let me ude their motorcycles. It is true that they did not want to let me in on the sand, because I had neither protectors nor shoes yet, but I thank them so much for their kindness and sharing their motos!
In the meantime, I met with … let’s call him Mr. K. for the purpose of this blog. Mr. K. said that if I have “such plans” (more on that later), I should ride a motorcycle even on the way to the toilet.
– Do you have a motorcycle? ” He asked.
– “No.” I replied. I was ashamed to admit that even for cross training I was picking up from my friend’s piggy bank.
And then I heard words that changed a lot: – “Then come to my place, I will lend you one of my bikes.”
And when there was the time to return this motorcycle (because I already had my own), I asked people who knew Mr. K. what I could offer him in return. And you know what people responded unanimously? That my smile is surely enough – that testifies well of him. And so the smile was enough, I added a large bottle of wine to it I have brought from my first racing rally, but … I wish you so kind people on your way of making your dreams come true. Thank you Mr. K.!
Another person was Mr. S., then Mr. B. and Mr. C. One of them did not turn out to be so cool. That is why I would like to emphasize that from now in tthe next parts of the blog: “How it all started” the coincidence of situations, places, characters will be completely accidental T.B.C.
